Her mother died during childbirth and the father was not able to care for a small baby and raise it. Olwyn is “special” child, a magical child, a star-seer and healer and is brought up in a small Keltic village by a guardian and medicine woman, Essylt. The village is attacked when Olwen is a young woman and she is abducted and transported to Greece and Persia. Her life unfolds, far away from her home, under the mentorship of Theon the King’s Doctor. Many moments of happiness, trials, tribulations and travails are strewn on her pathway which eventually leads back to her home village of Caer Gwyn where she learns a secret of her heritage.
