As an historian and novelist I know the loving labor it takes to create works like Ruth Kozak's, and from her Shadow of the Lion to these newpages, the word for her achievements is "magisterial"! ~ ~Jack Dempsey, author of “Ariadne's Brother” and “Calendar House”

ABOUT THE BOOK
300 BC She is Olwen, daughter of the Raven clan, child of the Druid. She is a remembrancer, a seeress and a healer. I know how to read the runes and the secret language of the heavens. It is circa 300 BC Olwen, the Druid’s child is abandoned inside the Circle of Stones, the Henge, as a baby. Her mother died during childbirth and the father was not able to care for a small baby and raise it. Olwyn is “special” child, a magical child, a star-seer and healer and is brought up in a small Keltic village by a guardian and medicine woman, Essylt. The village is attacked when Olwen is a young woman and she is abducted and transported to Greece and Persia. Her life unfolds, far away from her home, under the mentorship of Theon the King’s Doctor. Many moments of happiness, trials, tribulations and travails are strewn on her pathway which eventually leads back to her home village of Caer Gwyn where she learns a secret of her heritage.
